Graeme A L Whitlaw Esq of Brockham Park built the Village Hall and donated the site to the people of Brockham in 1922, with the sole purpose of it being the centre of the village social scene (outside the church that is).
Over the years the site and club has grown and developed, but one thing has not changed and that is the constitution that the club provides a family orientated environment for social activities within the village.
The current committee are working hard to ensure this is maintained and actively support the Victorian Fair Weekend, Brockham's Famous Bonfire and host the Annual Village Beer Festival (which is now in its 15th year and an institution in itself).
The Village Hall and Club although viewed as a single entity are run as seperate ventures with the Hall being designated a charity and the club a not-for-profit business.
It is managed and run by a dedicated committee of villagers who act as the Senior Management Team, assisting the only full time paid employee, the Club Steward/Manager, in delivering a good quality community service to its members.
